Carbon Dioxide
Industrial & Medical Applications
Carbon Dioxide
Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a colorless, odorless, and non-flammable gas that is widely used in a variety of industrial, commercial, and laboratory applications. It is naturally present in the Earth’s atmosphere, but it can also be produced through various industrial processes such as combustion of fossil fuels and fermentation in brewing and other food production.
Industrial Applications
Carbon dioxide is commonly used as a refrigerant in industrial refrigeration systems, as well as in air-conditioning systems.
Carbon dioxide is also used in the food and beverage industry, for carbonation of beverages, and for preservation of food products by maintaining a low-oxygen environment.
Carbon dioxide is also used in the oil and gas industry, for enhanced oil recovery, and for the removal of impurities in natural gas.
Carbon dioxide is also used in the medical field, for the treatment of respiratory problems, and for the production of dry ice, which is used for industrial cleaning and food preservation.
Medical Applications
Carbon dioxide is also used in medicine, particularly in carbon dioxide laser therapy, and in carbon dioxide insufflation during laparoscopic surgery.
Carbon dioxide is usually supplied in high-pressure cylinder or as liquid CO2 and is also available in bulk tank, the mode of supply depends on the quantity of CO2 needed and the frequency of use. It’s important to follow the safety guidelines and regulations for the handling, transportation and storage of the product.

Kindly Note
As with any gas, it is important to handle Carbon Dioxide with care and in accordance with the proper safety guidelines, to ensure the safety of the workers and the surrounding environment.
